Shipping bouquets can be scary for customers! Flowers are surprisingly resilient in the mail as long as you follow the instructions below.
Use a cardboard shipping box slightly bigger than your wedding bouquet. Use packing peanuts or packing paper to secure it in the box. You should wrap the stems in a wet paper towel, cover it with a plastic bag secured with a rubber band or zip tie, fill the bottom of the box with packing paper/peanuts, put stems into the packing material to secure them, and then completely cover the bloom part of your bouquet with the packing material. Close the box with tape, and give it a shake to make sure the bouquet is not moving when it moves.
DO NOT USE PLASTIC PACKING MATERIALS LIKE BUBBLE WRAP OR PLASTIC BAGS. It will cause your flowers to hold in moisture and rot. Flowers love to breathe, so use paper and/or peanuts only.
Choose an overnight shipping option if possible. Choose a guaranteed 2 day option if overnight is unavailable. The longer the flowers are in the mail, the higher the risk for mold developing.
We will send an email with photos of your flowers when they arrive so you know they’re safe and sound.

Try to arrange a designated person to drop-off your flowers before the wedding day if you are unable to do so. Some brides choose their moms, maid of honors, wedding planners, or florists to be responsible for it on the wedding day. Make sure they know to retrieve the bouquet from the venue, and give them the order form filled out to leave with the flowers so that we know who they belong to when they are dropped off or shipped. You can send your form digitally as well, but make sure your name is with the flowers at the time I receive them. The drop-off and shipping address is at the top of the form, and shipping instructions are on the informational google doc from our first email as well as the FAQ’s on the Atlanta Flower Press website.
We will send you an email with photos when the bouquet is in our hands. It will include a link to pay for your order as well.
Feel free to ignore our emails until you’re back and settled! We don’t require payment until the flowers are dry at the latest.

Yes, flowers change colors since they are made of organic material. Our fast-drying process preserves a lot of beautiful colors, and we color correct every bouquet so that it ages gracefully and will always have color. Darker colors cannot fully be color-corrected, so that is something to take into account for the final frame. Every flower will be color tinted, and it will look very natural and not “fake” or stark.
Red-turn maroon, purple, or really deep red
White- Turn creamy/yellow/brown
Purple- Turn darker shades
Yellow- Turn darker shades
Pink- Turn yellow and tend to fade fast if not color corrected
Blue- Fade slightly but hold blue color well
Orange- Turn darker orange
Greenery- Turns lighter over time, sometimes browns.
Some flowers are dyed or painted. Dyed flowers sometimes turn purple/blue or fade a lot. Painted flowers will hold their color, but they are usually only painted on the outer petals, so that may create some inconsistencies with the final coloring layer in the frame. It’s best if you ask your florist to not dye or paint flowers unless it is absolutely necessary for your wedding aesthetic.
